Are you a member in good standing with your union, or just a due paying member?
A member in good standing has taken the Union oath and becomes a card-carrying member of CUPE Local 1943. By taking the pledge, it allows you to vote on important issues that pertain to your union. You become a member of the largest union in Canada, with over
700,000 people fighting towards improving the working conditions for all workers.
A Union is only as strong as the members who support it!
Your support helped to achieve our current contract 2017-2021. This contract contains no concessions, a general wage increases in each of the 4 years plus important language to help us deal with workplace violence. Your participation in rallies, workplace demonstrations, sticker days of action supported the Central Bargaining team (Ontario Council Hospital Union) in achieving this 4-year contract.
Join us at our General meetings held the 1st Wednesday of the month to find out more about your union or to bring your concerns to the attention of your elected representatives.
I encourage all of you to register in the “members section” to access more information and exclusive promotions available only to registered members.
